User Interface

Figure 1
Key:
A: Directory nickname. Set with 'mp3dirname' in ~/.wmmp3.
B: Current song filename. When the song starts playing, the name will scroll once if it is too long to fit in the window (which is very probable since it can only fit 9 characters). If you click anywhere inside the song filename window, it will scroll again.
C: Previous directory in directory list supplied by ~/.wmmp3 ('mp3dir' variable name). Only active if not currently playing a song.
D: Random toggle.
E: Next directory in directory list supplied by ~/.wmmp3 ('mp3dir' variable name). Only active if not currently playing a song.
F: Repeat. Once finished playing all the mp3 files in the current directory, wmmp3 will start with the first song in the directory if the 'Repeat' toggle is depressed.
G: Previous song.
H: Next song.
I: Stop.
J: Play. Will remain depressed as long as it is still playing a file.

Configuration File

Currently, the following rules must be followed for the configuration file to be accepted by wmmp3: The following variables are set in the configuration file: All variables are required except for 'playlistext'. See sample.wmmp3 for an example of a valid ~/.wmmp3 file.

Requirements

You must have mpg123, written by Michael Hipp, installed in order for wmmp3 to actually play mp3 files.
